    Broward Virtual School

    • Coconut Creek, FL
    • 50 reviews
Sophomore:Broward Virtual School, or BVS for short, is great! My first year here was very welcoming, and as I'm in my second year, I feel completely comfortable with everything given to me. It's completely convenient and there are many resources just put out for you to use. I believe everyone should try online schooling once in their life, since it is a bit more different and challenging in a sense than normal public schools. It gives you a different outlook on schooling and is just a nice option to have. 4 stars up for BVS!

    Florida Virtual School

High School Sophomore:It's a great school for learning, not a great school for interacting with other students. This school also lacks scholarship information and information about standardized/state testing. The courses they offer are fun, and easy to digest. The assignments are varied and challenging. Particularly the english classes, have quite challenging, and lengthy assignments. The teachers are all very kind (I've only had one teacher that I would not recommend, and she eventually left this school).

    St. Johns Virtual Franchise

    • St Augustine, FL
    • 3 reviews
Niche User:I wish I did Saint John's Virtual school earlier instead of just my senior year. I took seven classes and still had more free time than all my friends. I could watch tv while I was taking my lunch break. My main complaint would be that you get more busywork than you normally do at a physical school because they want to make sure you're actually taking the time to read the materials. Also, you have to be really good at self-discipline and time management. I know a lot people have problems getting all their work done by the end of the year because they procrastinate.

    Florida Virtual High School

    • Orlando, FL

Senior:Florida Virtual School is such a blessing! It is one of the best, if not the best, virtual schools. With a wide variety of classes, stretching from Art History to Driver's Ed to AP Biology, it's an excellent fit for the busy students, the independent students, or any student seeking an alternative from the traditional classroom. I, personally, attended the school for four years and couldn't be happier with my experience. The teachers are helpful, the system is easy to understand, and the curriculum helps prepare you for many standardized tests.

    Pennsylvania Leadership Charter School

    • West Chester, PA
    • 157 reviews
High School Freshman:This is one of the best schools I've ever attended! Everyone is always encouraged to do the best they possibly can. Even though it's an online school, everything you need (and more) is always provided. Teachers are above and beyond their requirements. Whether someone is struggling with school, life at home, or even personally, there is always help. If I could go back in time, I would definitely go through this school again.

    Rio Rancho Cyber Academy

    • Rio Rancho, NM
    • 21 reviews
Niche User:I honestly love this school. I was able to work in class, or late at night when I couldn't sleep. I was able to finish semesters early and work through the break to get ahead if I wanted to. I also got a lot of one on one time with the teachers. Because of the smaller classes, I could work with a teacher on things I really needed help with. The curriculum was challenging, but not impossible to complete, especially with all of the help available. The workload ranged from one class if I worked over the break, to four to six classes during the actual term. As a freshmen, I was able to take a sophomore or senior level class, and pass with a decent grade.

Parent:My first ever experience with any teacher at HTA was amazing! They took the time to listen and actually communicate with you as an individual. They made time to find solutions to any learning curb for my child. The teachers welcomed the different styles of learning and incorporated their curriculum with technology into the students courses. HTA Kona is the best!

The teachers are wonderful and supportive, but students must be disciplined. The course offering is great for an online schools, and the AP classes do prepare you for AP tests if taken seriously. I attend TCAH for schedule flexibility and have enjoyed my experience.

    Seminole County Virtual School

    • Sanford, FL
    • 14 reviews
High School Senior:They provide above and beyond what traditional high schools offer besides being limited to a number of AP programs. However they partner with a state virtual school website that excels in courses not being covered in public schools and strive in their Honor courses. Most math and science classes need prerequisites and each new grade level for all subjects are adequately difficult and challenging. The workload is almost triple what a traditional high school would be and pushes you to work on accelerated paces 24/7.

    Primavera - Online

    • Chandler, AZ
    • 160 reviews
Senior:Primavera Online was entirely different from any school I have ever attended. I transferred from a public charter school to Primavera for my Senior year of high school and I was blown away with how the system works. Each teacher is more than willing to help every student possible and each do their best to ensure that every student will pass. It is much different learning off of a screen in comparison to listening to a teacher in a classroom, however with the extremely user friendly site, it is usable by all that wish to attend. Primavera opened my eyes to how the College world functions; pure independence and completely self-driven. With the right motivation, it is a breeze! Semesters only last for six weeks, meaning that graduating early is quite possible. I was fortunate enough to finish the last of my classes three months before the end of the semester!

    Hillsborough Virtual School

    • Tampa, FL
    • 5 reviews
Alum:Hillsborough virtual school allowed me to work at my own pace and complete classes faster than I would have attending a physical public high school. I completed my senior year of highschool online and was the best decision I could have made for myself. I graduated as class of 2016. While online school isn't for everyone, it's perfect for those students who want to work ahead and can push themselves to be an independent online student.

    Texas Virtual Academy

    • Lewisville, TX

Sophomore:At Texas Virtual Academy I am given the opportunity to go to school in a comfortable environment, with a flexible schedule. Teachers give and record lessons, making it easy access when you've missed a session or when you just want to review it. The courses also offer written material and hard copies of things to work offline. All in all, even if there happens to be room for improvement, Texas Virtual Academy is a fairly great homeschooling program.

Niche User:I love that my son can do the school work at his convenience; at the time of day that is best for him. Although the assignments seem difficult sometimes, as long as he does them on time, the likelihood of getting an A is very high. The teachers are friendly, most of the other students seem to care about doing their schoolwork which makes the overall rating for the school be the #1 online school in Idaho. I'm very pleased that we chose this school and that it is working out well for my son. (Grade 9 to 12)

    Hope High School Online

    • Glendale, AZ
    • 5 reviews
High School Junior:I really love online school, and I think the future is in online school. I personally could not stand regular high school. O was being stripped of my individuality day by day. I could feel myself becoming a zombie and I hated it! I keep up with my social skills by going to vocational school as well and by still seeing my friends. Online school is good for organized intelligent people like myself who can self motivate.

Senior:As long as you're motivated and diligent, OCA will work for you. It gives you the freedom to use your time the way you choose, as long as you get your lessons done every day. If you struggle with being motivated or diligent without a set structure, I wouldn't recommend it. The teachers and staff are very friendly and helpful. Overall, not many complaints! OCA works well for me.

Senior:The main thing that I liked about AzDL, was that I was able to go to college early for free. I was able to attend community college classrooms for free, and it not only counted for high school but college! It has changed my life, and will definitely help me in the future.

    Arizona Connections Academy

    • Mesa, AZ
    • 41 reviews
Junior:I have been going to Arizona Connections Academy (ACA) since I was in fourth grade. I am in my second part of my Juinor year in Highschool. I have to say that this is the best school. I might be a little bias due to the fact that I have been going to ACA for my whole academic career. Most of the classes have a tougher curriculum versus other schools. What I like about this school is that you can start at 8 in the morning and be done by one. Overall, every teacher I have had are amazing. They really like to get to know you personally. I have known one teacher since middle school and she is a family friend now. For the clubs, I do have to say they could improve them. I would suggest finding local clubs to take part in instead. The most important thing I like is they offer honor and AP courses. I really enjoy this as I am a straight A student and take all Honors and AP classes.
