    Eastbrook Academy

    • Milwaukee, WI
    • 21 reviews
Junior:Eastbrook Academy has great teachers, who are passionate about the subjects they teach. They are available outside of class to answer student's questions. The school is quite diverse, and exposes us to new cultures. Overall, the school is a bit lacking in advance placement courses and sports, but the new equipment works great during practices and games.

    Lake Country Lutheran High School

    • Hartland, WI
    • 77 reviews
High School Senior:I completed my freshmen and sophomore years at Lake Country Lutheran High School. Then my junior year, I wanted to step out and create experiences, so I attended Oconomowoc High School, and the Virtual Academy of Wisconsin. My senior year, I am deciding to go back to Lake Country Lutheran, because I missed the great student/teacher atmosphere. One of my favorite experiences from Lake Country Lutheran was finals week from my freshmen year, because their were senior students helping freshmen and sophomores study for their finals by testing them with flashcards or just giving them easier explanations to their questions. It just amazed me and really helped me relax during my first finals. I think what makes it so unique is that when you get to know everyone you feel a sense of pride going there, because everyone really cares for each other and it has a caring atmosphere, while it is very competitive, pushing everyone to do their best. If I could do it all over again, I would go back to Lake Country Lutheran because after attending all the schools I wanted to experience, I found that I really found a comfortable place where I loved to learn and enjoyed coming to everyday.

    Luther Preparatory School

    • Watertown, WI
    • 97 reviews
Senior:Luther Preparatory School is over all a great school, but did have some flaws. One of the biggest flaws that can effect a students future is the lack of extra curricular's and AP courses. While the school might not offer any courses specifically designed for colleges it still prepares all students for it. The classes at the school are designed to be a bit more challenging so that most students can feel prepared to take AP exams by the end of the year. The school also offers a unique experience with the dorms. Most of the students that attend Luther Prep do live in the dorms. This living experience gives the students a chance to grow up and learn how to handle situations by themselves. Over all the school does a nice job of teaching its students and preparing them for the future.

    Faith Christian School

    • Williams Bay, WI
    • 25 reviews
Niche User:Academic learning is top notch, organization is not where it could be but that is being worked on. Smaller school means there aren't always as many options for students to choose from but these kids are not left short on what they need to succeed in life.

Senior:Small school setting with a stunning campus incomparable to any in the area, even the large public schools. Small student to teacher ratio; each teacher knows the student by name and has personal relations. Principal and superintendent greet each student by the door by name every morning. Very knowledgeable, caring instructors. Most students here want to succeed; they do not slack off and almost all are college bound. Cons are small sports teams in low divisions, small dating and social circles. Also not very diverse; nearly all students are white upper-middle class, with a few international Korean children sprinkled in. However, very little to no special ED assistance. Overall, a student attending will most certainly be ready for college with a much higher ACT score on average than the rest of the state or country.

    Martin Luther High School

    • Greendale, WI

Alum:I went to school at Martin Luther high school for all four years of my high school career. Martin Luther has a lot to offer, plenty of sports, committees, fine arts, and much more. I have to say that the staff and the academics at Martin Luther was my favorite part. The faculty at Martin Luther went through some changes while I was there, but all of the new faculty that they are getting extremely capable and do a great job of connecting to students. Finally, the academics at Martin Luther are superb. I feel that I was prepared very well for my classes that I am now taking in college. A very great school overall!

    Northland Lutheran High School

    • Kronenwetter, WI
    • 10 reviews
High School Senior:They sure discipline us and teach us to work hard. They give us a ton of homework, but they don't give us more than we can handle. Furthermore, the teachers are always willing and love to help us when we are struggling with an assignment or even life hardships.

One unique thing about Northland is the creativity of Homecoming. All the classes compete to earn the Spirit Stick; they earn points by attempting to have the best class theme, bible verse, class t-shirts, hallway decorations, pep rally skit, dress up day costumes, and school spirit and loudness while singing the school song at the bonfire following the pep rally the night before the game and dance.

Overall, I love that this school is accepting of all people and they encourage all personalities and creativity. They include the Lutheran religion in everything and make sure to always be representing God in a positive way. We start off the day with devotion, have chapel in between second and third hour, and also we all are required to take a religion class. I think this is what gives the students such a caring and positive attitude.

    Wisconsin Lutheran High School

    • Milwaukee, WI
    • 228 reviews
Alum:This is a great high school to prepare students for college; however, the work load was way too much. As a student-athlete and being involved in other clubs at this school it was hard to keep my grades up with the heavy work load and the 3hrs of sleep I was getting per night. Otherwise, the Christian aspect is great here. Some teachers and faculty can be judgmental if you do not come from a Lutheran background or you do not attend church every Sunday. This school is diverse and has a lot of people with different backgrounds and from different countries; however, they sometimes do not acknowledge things like MLK day, Hispanic Heritage Month, or Black History month as if they don't exist, but they had gotten better the last 2yrs I attended there.

    Heritage Christian Schools

    • Brookfield, WI
    • 37 reviews
Senior:My experience at Heritage Christian Schools was great. I am finishing out my senior year very strong, but I know that I couldn't do it without the help of my teachers. They have taught me so much, not just academically, but also mentally. They have shown me how to male the best out of each and every opportunity. THeir academics are great, and the sports, and all of the other resources and activities are great as well. However, the only thing that I would change would have to be the diversity of the school. The school is somewhat diverse, but I wish that they would have more minorities in the school, so that everyone feels comfortable. But other that that, I wouldn't change a thing about Heritage Christian SChools, and if I had a chance to, I would attend the same school all over again.

Senior:Living Word Lutheran High School has been such a blessing to me. Everyday I am excited to go to school because I know I am surrounded by teachers who push me and love to see me succeed, friends who support me, and wonderful opportunities to participate in fun extra curricular activities such as sports, music groups, and student government. Most importantly this school has helped me develop a strong connection with God and I am comfortable sharing and professing my faith in a loving way.

    Lutheran High School

    • Racine, WI
    • 36 reviews
Niche User:The teachers were probably one of the highlights. The students are very passionate about sports, grades, and school spirit, however there are a few minorities that don't get the best treatment (specifically the LGBT+ Community) but the times are changing and I hope some brave students and teachers make a difference. The classes are more challenging than most school which is really helpful in preparing them for college. I appreciate how hard they push students.

    Shoreland Lutheran High School

    • Somers, WI
    • 62 reviews
Junior:I am a junior at Shoreland, and I very much enjoy going to school there. The teachers all care about each individual student - and not only their academic welfare, but also their Spiritual and emotional welfare. In fact, the teacher-led after-school work out program for out-of season athletes - which is free for all students - makes me say that the teachers are also looking out for the best of the physical welfare of the students.
This school holds true to the truths of God's Word, and for that I am very thankful. One can expect to find a group of students here that are devoted to their academic success, and the school's STEM program makes it evident that this school is working hard to be a good stepping stone to a quality college.
After speaking to my public-schooled friends, I realize that I am very blessed to be enrolled here, and I know that this school is a much better school than a public school.

    Manitowoc Lutheran High School

    • Manitowoc, WI
    • 37 reviews
Alum:The faculty at Manitowoc Lutheran take education seriously. Teachers are well equipped and eager to help the students. I feel quite well prepared for college after attending MLHS. A wide variety of extracurricular activities are offered and the music program is extremely strong. Also, the cross country and track coaches are great. The atmosphere is safe and there is daily focus on Christ in chapel and everyday interactions with teachers and many of the other students.

    Christian Life School

    • Kenosha, WI
    • 89 reviews
Parent:I have had seven children go through Christian Life for their entire pre-collegiate careers; the oldest began there in kindergarten in 1991 and the youngest will graduate next year. The experience has been uniformly wonderful. Each has been excellently prepared for the demands of college life, but--of far more long-term importance--each has been nurtured as an individual and encouraged to develop into a balanced, creative, thoughtful, spiritual, compassionate person. Thank you, Christian Life School!

    Luther High School

    • Onalaska, WI

Senior:I have loved every minute of the past four years I have spent at Luther High School. I have developed respect, as well as friendships, with many of my teachers. I am very grateful for the openness which was displayed when my family approached them about an opportunity to become part of a cooperative gymnastics team. I love the fact that I can incorporate Christ into the classroom. I have made lots of life-long friends with whom I can share laughs, as well as serious subjects. I cannot imagine having gone to school anywhere else. To me, Luther High School is a safe environment full of good memories and a is a place I will always hold close to my heart.

Alum:My experience at NEW Lutheran had its good and lesser points. There was a tendency to overemphasis of chapels and conservative Lutheranism in general instead of rigorous STEM classes. There could also be stronger efforts in a strong liberal arts (classical education) base in growing the variety of electives like the CAD class and finance. Many Teachers were excellent and impartial, aided by small class sizes, creating a positive community for learning. I will agree with others that sports took a much greater focus than the fine arts. Unfortunately, as great as the extremely small size was it provided little diversity and inherent cliquishness.

    Maranatha Baptist Academy

    • Watertown, WI
    • 20 reviews
Niche User:When the school takes a trip down to South Carolina for Nationals, its the BEST. It usually includes the majority of the school, and its one of the best experiences i had during my four years. Students always look forward to the nationals trip, and everyone piles into a bus and travels down. Spending the night in a hotel and stopping at different fast food places are sometimes the highlights of the trip, and the students bond and get to spend lots of time with friends.

    Milwaukee Lutheran High School

    • Milwaukee, WI

Senior:Milwaukee Lutheran High School is an overall dynamic school. The teachers are always making sure that students are ready for the future ahead of them. They stay after school and come early in the morning for any student help. It's an amazing school that not only teaches the general classes, but also a religion class that is required. Through the class, students are able to strengthen their faith and learn more about the gospel. Milwaukee Lutheran also includes chapel 3 days a week! From this, everyone comes into the gym and we learn from different teachers. As well as different guest speakers and our spiritual life committee.

Senior:I have enjoyed my time at Sheboygan County Christian High School. Just like every high school there is drama but at Christian High there is significantly less than other school in the area. Having a Christian background in the academics is a great resource and training tool for a persons faith. The teachers are great and there is a lot to learn but being a private school there are some limitations on classes that are available. The overall attitude, academic readiness and faith based education are what make Sheboygan County Christian High School

Alum:My experience at WLA was a reasonably good one. I feel that my classes prepared me well for college life and college courses (at least, WLA gave me a general foundation from which to get used to college). The teachers instilled important lessons in me and helped me to set a standard not only for what I should expect out of my education but also what I should expect out of myself while a student.
