    St. David's School

    • Raleigh, NC
    • 29 reviews
Alum:St. David's created this community of friends that I will always have to fall back on throughout life. We endured so much together through our schooling experience that we became an incredibly close-knit group of friends, not just peers or classmates- friends. I tried going to another school, public specifically, thinking it would have a wider variety of offerings with more people and a more competitive atmosphere athleticly and academically. I found neither and it was during that year away, my freshman year of high school, that I truly began to understand the level of preparation and trust in ourselves St. David's was equipping us with. Combined with the relationships forged deep in discussion and discovery, this unique combination created an atmosphere that was completely irresistible. I am constantly discovering new benefits from an educational experience at St. David's, even as I go throughout my journey for higher education.

Niche User:I cannot say enough good things about this school. The faculty and staff bend over backwards to help every child succeed. They really want to know the kids and motivate them in the best way for their unique personality. It is a Christian school, and I was very happy with the way they taught the Bible. They stressed the gospel and putting it into action.

    Carolina Friends School

    • Durham, NC
    • 10 reviews
Alum:I first of all want to say that I totally agree with the core values of this school. At my time at CFS they always taught students about love, tolerance, and all of the other Quaker principles. I'm extremely grateful that I was able to spend 10 years in a such an accepting community. Although there are still definite problems within the school, such as how sometimes decisions made would not reflect what they claimed their values to be. An example would be how they would frequently criticize the school to prison pipeline and zero tolerance policies, but CFS has very recently used a zero tolerance policy. There were also a lot of teachers that showed obvious favoritism. Overall I had a good experience at this school but they definitely have some things to work on.

    Cary Christian School

    • Cary, NC
    • 41 reviews
Parent:The kindergarten and elementary grades are excellent so far. Very solid Christian principals they follow, and they teach good behavior. They learn a scripture 1 x a week, and the school work and academics are absolutely excellent. We are very impressed with the school, and happy the kids are going here. They can pray, they can learn the Bible, and they are taught the very best with their education. I looked at the results of SAT scores with the students here, compared to the other school, and their SAT tests results are far above the other schools in the Raleigh area. I like their school system, and the buildings, land, and facilities, but I want to see the bottom line results once the children go through. Their testing results are excellent. It gave me a lot of peace, knowing that if the students apply themselves, they will do very well. It is all a truly great blessing, thank you Jesus!

    Trinity Academy of Raleigh

    • Raleigh, NC
    • 11 reviews
High School Junior:Trinity has been one of the best things for my development as a person. Oftentimes at Christian school, you find very specific theologies being accepted, while anything deviating from that is judged. This school is quite the opposite. They teach you how, not what, to think. New ideas are constantly presented to us, and we are asked to consider it and how it aligns with our personal beliefs.

    Charlotte Christian School

    • Charlotte, NC
    • 62 reviews
Senior:The teachers and staff are fantastic and the students are really engaged inside and outside of the classroom. Athletics here are unbelievable, and everyone has an easy opportunity to participate in a sport. Furthermore, each teacher genuinely cares about the success of each student; however, the school lives up to its "college-preparatory" mission by not coddling anyone! Charlotte Christian truly is a fantastic place to attend school.

    Covenant Classical School

    • Concord, NC
    • 10 reviews
Senior:Covenant Classical School is not just a school, it's a family. I love coming into school and being able to see everyone's face and know exactly who they are. I honestly believe that I never found myself until I came to Covenant. The friends I have made there are not just friends, they're the reason I'm whole. My teachers are not just teachers either, they are men and women that I spend time with outside of class and love them more than they know. The atmosphere in Covenant is the most genuine, the most honest, the most humble, and the most homey I have ever experienced anywhere including my own home. The subject matter you are introduced to at Covenant is life changing. It is without a doubt, my best experience out of any other school I have ever attended.

    Covenant Day School

    • Matthews, NC
    • 64 reviews
Senior:My family moved from Illinois to North Carolina because my dad changed job. Due to this moving process, having friends and going to a new school was one of my biggest fears. However, I was able to join the soccer team before school started, so I made a lot of friends. I loved how students and the teachers were very welcoming because of that the whole process of adjusting to a new environment was extremely easy for me. Although, the diversity of the school is very small. Including my self, there are only two black students in senior class, so I would like to see the diversity of the school become greater.

    Caldwell Academy

High School Senior:From the first day I walked on the campus as a newbie 6th grader, I have felt welcomed by my piers and teachers. Caldwell teaches in a classical, Christian manner and has a strong foundation in faith. We have memorable events such as Veterans day, where the school puts on a ceremony to honor veterans of war. The school comes together monthly and enjoy events, scuh as Thanksgiving in the Meadow, Backyard Bash, and Christmas night out.

    Asheville Christian Academy

    • Swannanoa, NC
    • 27 reviews
Sophomore:ACA is a great balance between academics, athletics, and fine arts. The courses are rigorous and the teachers challenge every one of their students. Lots of APs are offered which is nice. Sports teams are very competitive most years and lots of time put into fine arts as well. Only negatives are zero diversity and the food isn't great. But overall ACA is a really good Christian high school.

    Epiphany School

    • New Bern, NC
    • 19 reviews
Junior:First, it is now known as The Epiphany School of Global Studies
Second, the school offers K-12 (K-3 have a Spanish immersion program)

Epiphany is a great place, a family that I have been a part of for most of my life. Almost everyone is friendly and the teachers are fantastic. I am glad to have been here it is such an uplifting environment. Stop Hunger Now! has always been one of my favorite traditions with the school. Also, the travel opportunities are not to be missed, they are always fantastic!

Overall the academics are great for the average student, but for those that fall below or above average it will be challenging. (Academics are already very challenging here, the average mid-B student at public school can expect mid to high C's). There are a limited number of AP classes that high-schoolers can take. The teachers here are fantastic. They actively care about the students and get to know everyone of them. I could not ask for better teachers.

    Veritas Christian Academy

Senior:It's honestly really amazing. Don't take the small school label and throw the school out the door. Academically, I feel incredibly, almost over prepared for college because of the rigor of the courses. Sports offered are quite unique for a smaller place. They include volleyball, basketball, soccer, cross country, and tennis. The teachers are incredible. Always feel very comfortable around them.

Alum:I attended for high school and graduated in 2014. It's quite, football games are always fun, and you can have great relationships with teachers.
It lacks diverse electives. There's only three options - yearbook, journalism, money management. There's no options for french or interesting studies. Those are classes and that's all you can take which isn't great considering how high tuition is.

    Carmel Christian School

    • Matthews, NC
    • 29 reviews
Alum:Carmel Christian is a great school! I loved going there and I can't wait to see how it grows in the future with the new building. The school spirit there is amazing and the sports are becoming really competitive and good. One thing that is not great about Carmel Christian is that some of the teachers do not teach very well. Most of them are great! But some I feel like were chosen because we needed more teachers instead of waiting to pick quality teachers.
