Rancho was an adequate school that focused heavily on their sports department. Most of the teachers there were very nice and approachable and wanted you to succeed, at least from what I had experienced. The departments that suffered the most were their science and math departments. They were poorly funded because of the massive emphasis that was put on sports at Rancho. Overall, I would not say that Rancho is an awful school to go to, all of the staff will do their best to help you through those 4 years.
Rancho Cotate high school is very diverse and spirited, and has so much to offer. the teachers and counselors are very easy to talk to and we have a college and career center to help students plan their future. Rancho's ASB puts on amazing spirit weeks and rallys, and they also throw an annual unity week to celebrate our diversity and learn about different cultures . Students are allowed to leave campus for lunch which is really cool considering we have tons of food places nearby. something i would like to see change is the dress code. they make it very misogynistic, mainly targeting females. administrators have even called girls out of their classes to make sure the "dress appropriately at back to school night, unlike the first day of school" another thing that is a downside is that its kind of hard to get an appointment with your counselor, but overall i love Rancho, Go Cougars!
