No accountability from any higher-ups (no board, president etc with any legitimate say) so individuals make unilateral poor decisions, including favoring particular students, etc. Leads to an unpleasant atmosphere. Good intentions at points, but awful execution

The school is very adapting towards the specific students needs and the school is amazingly involved in activism. However it misses some very valuable things in some staff members
The kids are the nicest you'll find anywhere. There is zero tolerance for bullying or disrespectful behavior. Most of the students are motivated and good students. The school helps those who have scholastic issues to get up to speed, and encourages them to do well. The administration is in control of the entire school process and doesn't take criticism from parents. Students follow the rules, or else. They are expected to take responsibility for their own actions, with little parental interference. The teachers range from great to poor. It is a small school and doesn't do much fundraising, so money is tight. This shows in the lack of support for some of the clubs and teams. All in all though, the good outweighs the bad considerably. The one caveat - if your kid can't or won't follow rules, it's not the school for them.
