Overall my four years at Snider has been pretty decent. I love how big Snider is on sports, Fridays were the best, everyone would be so excited for the football games. The teachers and administrators at Snider are amazing! They are all kind and always very helpful. I am thankful for the relationships I have developed with teachers and staff over the past four years. My favorite teacher is Mr. Menor, he is not only an amazing teacher but a really good person. He genuinely cares for his students and their well being. He is not the only staff member like that at Snider, just one of the many! One thing I do wish was different about Snider was the quality of the education. I learned a lot over the four years there but I feel I am not properly prepared for college. I feel as if we were handed everything and you did not have to put in much effort to receive a good grade. But, overall I loved Snider and am thankful to have spent my four years in high school, at that school!
Snider's shortcomings are not of the teachers' or even administrators' accord, but the lack of funding coming in from the state government. It is overpopulated, with nearly two-thousand students in a building clearly not designed for it. Classes are overenrolled (with a class average in the high twenties-low thirties), and it seems there is a negative attitude towards academics from the student body. However, I enjoyed my time at Snider. The education was not par for a college bound student, but I felt the teachers truly did care about me. Genuinely, the best part of the school is the faculty. I found so many great teachers that I could talk comfortably to. Unfortunately, the school is too underfunded and too large to properly educate their students.
There are several thing I love about snider high school! First of all, I love the staff and how greatly they care about every single students future and goals in life. Secondly, everyone that attends snider high school considers everyone there as family more so than classmates. Overall snider is an amazing facility that I’m grateful I get to be a part of!
