My experience at Quigley was positive in the beginning, but it gradually went downhill, starting in my junior year. Good teachers left or were fired and were replaced by less qualified teachers. Rules became more strict, and I struggled to see the value in them. Students had to pay extra fees for after-school activities that discouraged me from wanting to participate. I will give Quigley credit for providing useful information about applying to college and the remaining good teachers. The school also provides a family-like atmosphere, though that has decreased in quality during my time there.

There is no bullying at this college prep high school. Students are generally high-performing, and come from families that are invested and involved in their children's lives. Also, as a private, Catholic high school, the teachers are able to incorporate Catholic morality in every subject. There is a lot of opportunity for kids to interact with others in their own and other grades. Bullying would never be tolerated in this environment. In addition, the current principal is very faith oriented and a strong leader.
My son had a successful freshman year. Quigley is a smaller school and the student body and faculty share Catholic values. Therefore, it was quite easy for my son to acclimate. As an onlooker, it seemed that the students treated one another with respect and acceptance. The academics were stimulating for my son, but also quite challenging. I'm proud that he rose to the challenge, even receiving recognition for exceptional performance in his Spanish language course. If I had it to do over, I would send my son to Quigley, and I also hope to send my two younger children to Quigley.
