Most of my teachers at QACHS were great! A lot of them were understanding, helpful, and helped me enjoy the topics I was learning about. I would say that the things that I thought should be changed in the school were the building itself, because it’s pretty old.
Since the COVID year took place, I missed out on a lot of my high school experience. But I really enjoyed the time that I spent playing sports, making friendships, and bonding with teachers, all while learning. I have really connected with the administration over my time at QA. I do think there may be a lack of communication when it comes to doing school based activities and experiences, it includes a lot of self-discovery, and not necessarily a prep for college resumes or applications.
Overall, in my four years of attendance I have had very good experiences at Queen Anne's County High School. This school has dedicated teachers, administration, and students who are all pursuing higher education together. The partnership between teachers and students is evident, and hard work and integrity are two very strong building blocks of this school. The opportunities offered in extracurricular activities at this school are wonderful for the students. However, I believe that the school as a whole could be more involved in more volunteer projects around the community. As a whole, Queen Anne's County High School is a very successful and wonderful school to be in attendance at, and I have had overwhelmingly good experiences.
