The teachers and in-school administrators are great. You really do feel like they care about all of the students at the school. There's definitely a culture of inclusivity but nothing over the top. Scheduling and class selection are fantastic--something you won't get at a larger school.
Athletics are above-average. Winning culture in most sports and coaches have a winning mentality, and somehow there are a lot of exceptional athletes in a smalls school. (football not withstanding) QV made the WPIAL playoffs in almost all sports, won several WPIAL championships, and even had some individual and team state champions.
Reason for 4 stars instead of 5: The facilities! School is like 500 years old and the community can't band together to allow the new bldg to be built. People are worried their high school kids can't drive up and down a hill (that 25% of HS drivers already drive).

I loved my teachers. They were kind and helpful, they truly changed my life and perspective. However, my school was not perfect. I struggled a lot socially. The school environment itself could change and improve a lot. I wish that the students were a bit more inclusive and kind. I also want the school district to nurture and encouraged the students to be kinder and widen their perspectives. One great thing about my school is how they don't rank students and they believe that every student is super unique in their way. They encourage and help kids to find new opportunities and to try extracurriculars. There isn't only one path and one expected future for the students at my school; the administration inspires students to continue their path in education, whether it's vocational school, community college, cosmetology school, or a four-year school. I think that helps all students at my school, but I also wish they created other opportunities like studying abroad or more language learning.
The worst part of my high school experience was the way some teachers taught. Freshman Spanish teacher was not good at teaching. Same with junior physics teacher. I truly believe they are a part of the reason my gpa wasn’t all it could be. Another worst of Quaker valley was the lunch. It wasn’t good at all. Dry chicken sandwiches, no thank you. The best part of high school was the study halls. I very much enjoyed this time to sit in the library and complete my work without distractions. Although , there were a lot of distractions in the library because of the freshman. My all time favorite aspect of QV was the ability to leave school early for work. It was the best thing ever.
