My experience at North was overall a great highschool experience. The teachers are inclusive, the activities are memorable. I felt like every teacher I had was willing to work with me no matter how hard I struggled. The only thing I would like to see change is the student council. It is not based on qualifications, It is simply a competition of popularity. These student council and students united at north members, then rule every after-school event, making other students slightly uncomfortable to attend. I would love to see a change in who we elect to represent the student council and find a way for all students to feel welcome when attending afterschool events.
I moved here the last few months of freshman year and I blended in really quick because the people I met were very friendly and nice. There are tons of amazing teachers, especially the ones who teach science and math! I won't mention their names but AP Bio and Calculus are pretty awesome. Food is okay, sports is a big thing, we hav the best stadium.
Putnam City North High School is a great place to be! There is a plethora of clubs and organizations that anyone can join to be involved. The student council organizes, plans, and executes all of their school events very well. The theatre and music programs are filled with talent. The classes are well taught and easy to fit into. The teachers are very good at what they do by helping each and every student with whatever they need. Granted not all of them are perfect, but a vast majority do their job very well. PCN is a very diverse community so you get the opportunity to socialize with many unique students, teachers, and administration. The special ed program is fantastic as well. Some of our physical facilities could use some work, for example our bathrooms, but the student council is working with our head principal to figure out a way to "clean up" our campus and keep it nice.
