Putnam City High School Reviews

Putnam City High School has presented me with challenges, but it has also provided me with the opportunity to learn, grow, and enhance my personal development and social skills. The school's greatest strength is its diverse student body, where differences are celebrated, and we all share a sense of "pirate pride" in being part of the school community. The school's wide variety of clubs, leadership roles, and activities provide endless opportunities to meet new people and build connections. Although an ongoing issue is students getting involved in adverse situations, creating more safe spaces within the school could be beneficial. Additionally, promoting awareness about prioritizing education, physical, and mental health would be a positive change.
Putnam City High School is a great school to be in. There are so many clubs and extracurricular opportunities to yourself involved in. For incoming freshmen it can be stressful but that’s alright because there is a freshman academy to get yourself acquainted with fellow members of your graduating year. The most positive extracurricular to be in would have to be student council. You have an opportunity to make a positive impact on the school and make friends in the process. Putnam City High School is very diverse and many of our students have much love for the various cultures around the world. There is so much to do but it’s all about what you like and what makes you, YOU. The best thing about Putnam City High School is celebrating our differences and realizing that high school is the time to have some fun. We have so many AP courses just in case some people are worried they are not in the right class. High school can be stressful but we know Putnam City High School is the place to be.
It was all right, I guess there’s a few different instances that was kind of annoying while I went there, one being the teacher didn’t grade any of the assignments I turned in before the end of the year and just failed me for no reason but graded everyone else’s assignments and another teacher kept giving me Fs for participation grades because “ I was never there” only because I had 2 different classes my 1st period and I asked to go to a different class a couple times because we never did anything in that class. And my first year they didn’t transfer my credits from my other school and just forced me to take algebra a 3rd year in a row because it was a graduation requirement. Some of the teachers just didn’t care. One of the honors classes I was in the teacher just let other students stand on eachother in front of the class and mock the national anthem and there were always fights and drugs and sex everywhere.
