When I first came to Purnell as a Sophmore, I was scared out of my mind! It was my first time being at a boarding school, and quite frankly I didn't want to be there. The first few weeks I was reserved and quiet until my classmates and peers started to invite me to hang out with them. Sooner than later I started getting more involved with my friends and the school. I even ran for a student council officer position and ending up getting my desired position! Purnell has taught me to come out of my comfort zone because even if I fail I have a whole school of people I'm happy to call my family. They are dedicated to helping you with your individual needs and want to see you succeed. Purnell is an amazing experience I'm still embarking on and I'm sad to the end so near. I would not have it any other way!

My daughter graduated from Purnell in 2014. The experience was life changing for her. She struggled mightily in every previous school, but when she arrived at Purnell the individual attention she received and the constant encouragement transformed her into a confident young woman who lost all fear of failure.
The faculty is unbelievably dedicated, the campus is stunning, and the school leadership team is composed of experienced, professional people. I cannot recommend it highly enough for girls who need a smaller, more nurturing environment.
Purnell is a school with a strong emphasis on student well-being as fundamental to ensuring academic success. Small class sizes are standard. Specialized and expert educators collaboratively plan student learning goals.
It is a school that cares about how young women feel and learn. If you are seeking an individualized education that is based on best practices, sound research on effective teaching and learning then Purnell is for you.
