Purchase Line Junior/Senior High School Reviews

I moved to Purchase Line from a different school around 3 years ago. Since moving, I have enjoyed school much more. All of the teachers are wonderful people who really care about their students. It’s very clear to see that as a student, you are being taken care of by your educators at this school. The student environment is also a better one in comparison to my previous school. It is much less cliquish. I think the music department could use a lot of improvement. I also know that the school needs a lot more funding for security. My previous school had renovated and added a lot of security measures which made me feel safe there. Purchase Line is definitely a very outdated building.
During my 3 years at Purchase Line Junior/Senior High School, I would rate my overall experience as average. Coming into the high school as a Sophomore, it was harder to make friends because it is a small town school where everyone knew everyone. Considering I was the new kid, it was difficult coming into that environment and making friends. I was active in clubs and sports during my 3 years and that helped me with making friends. To overall explain this school, I would say that is not very accepting and to mainly revolves around what your last name is and how you were brought up; and that's just the honest truth. The academics are more poor than average, and there is not much diversity. I am not saying that this school isn't a good school, but I will say that there are many ways they could improve to make it a more safe and better environment for all of their students. Overall, if you like small town schools, and like the idea of small classes, this is the school for you.
Purchase line has overall been a good experience. Most of the teachers are nice and care about your learning but also about your well being. Some things that could be changed are the ants where we eat, and the other bugs found in the school along with the water system but overall purchase line is a good school
