Purcell Marian High School Reviews
Rating 3.77 out of 5 111 reviews
My daughter is now a junior at Purcell Marian and in all areas, her experience has exceed my expectation. She started as a quite self-conscious student from a traditional Catholic elementary school, and has grown into the most wonderful, confident, and open-minded young lady. Coming from a school with very little diversity into a school with outstanding diversity simply has changed her outlook on life for the better. Daily she will cite examples of how she is learning with and from her fellow classmates and what a difference it makes.
Her teachers have taken the time to really get to know her and what a difference that has made. She articulates that she truly feels "seen" and "loved" by the adults around her. Truly Purcell Marian is a hidden gem in the educational landscape of Cincinnati!

Inclusivity, Growth, and Love are the hallmarks of Purcell Marian. Teachers do everything that they can and more to make sure that the students succeed. The philosophy of International Baccalaureate is starting to show up in all classes and academics are a main focal point of the school. State Championships in Girls Basketball aren't too shabby either. Highly recommend!
My experience at Purcell Marian High School started when I transferred in August 2020 my sophomore year. When I began at Purcell I immediately joined the cheer team and overall the team and environment were welcoming and high-spirited. As far as Purcell as a school goes, I feel like the faculty and staff are understanding of many situations and genuinely want the best for every student. Although Purcell tries to make the educational aspect of school comfortable for everyone, I feel like this school's top priority is athletics. Although extracurriculars are nice to have, the fun should start in the classroom. As I am finishing my senior year at Purcell, I find myself losing the motivation for putting my best effort forward and I feel this starts with the teachers. Because of this, I feel as though Purcell Marian could put more focus on making the class more exciting to keep the attention of students and give us more inspiration to stay centered and work harder.
