Puget Sound Community School Reviews
Rating 4.2 out of 5 10 reviews
PSCS is a very small, unique, non-traditional school. The teachers are stellar - they are passionate about teaching a large range of subjects, they value relationships with students and understand how important this is to getting kids excited about learning, and are incredibly caring, respectful and engaging . The variety of courses students are exposed to is fantastic. The school truly values community, kindness, integrity, responsibility and social justice. If you are looking for an out-of-the box, forward thinking school, where your child will love school and be truly appreciated for who they are, be intrinsically motivated to learn, have lots of choices and the opportunity to try all sorts of things without worrying about failing or competing with other students, and receive a well-rounded education, where teachers truly know and care about them, then this school is for you!
This school is good if you want to slack off. I feel a bit stressed about getting into college when there's not enough core classes right now. It's a pretty good school if you already have a smart plan for what you want to do when you out of PSCS. And if you take outside classes for core subjects. If you come to this school beware this school is for kids who are self-driven, independent and are willing to do and get work done on their own with their motivation. The teachers care a lot about you and they listen to you if you have a problem they will help you through it.
Very nurturing environment with an amazing staff. Students have the unique opportunity to purse their passion within the school environment. Students are treated with kindness and it has a wonderful vibe where students treat each other with respect which you don't often see in a middle/high school setting. Students are involved in their education and there is a very strong community that involves students, staff and parents. I had two children graduate at PSCS and it has been a very positive experience.
