The Public Academy for Preforming Arts is an amazing school! The combination of an academic/artistic learning environment was beneficial to me, as well as my peers and faculty. I was consistently encouraged to pursue my goals and maintain a forward-thinking attitude. I am thankful to have attended this school. I know my experiences here have changed my life for the better.

P.A.P.A also known as Public Academy for Performing Arts, is a school of open minded people, who accept you for who you are. They don't judge your race, religion, or gender. My experience at P.A.P.A has been genuinely amazing, as I have made a lot of friends who appreciate me, care for me , and overall give me the best hopes for life. There is times were I wish the cafeteria food could be better, but other than that I'm not complaining. Teachers especially, help students a lot. They help with tutoring (free), and if there's any doubt or questions on homework assignments they always seem to help out as much as they can. The performing arts includes: Dance which varies from (Hip-hop, Jazz, Flamenco, Contemporary, Ballet, and Ensemble), Theater and Theater Design, Acting, Art, Choir, Guitar, and last but not least Band. P.A.P.A is a great school with amazing teachers, I'm glad to say I had the opportunity to attend the school.
Although there are some problems that happen occasionally between administration and parents/students, overall the school is very good. The students are very nice, there are great options for extracurricular classes, and academic perfection is very important to the staff of this school, despite the fact that this is a performing arts school. Don't think you can sneak in for the academics, however. This school still cares a lot about the performing arts, and taking performing arts classes are required.
