I absolutely loved PSJA Early College High School and would want more people to know their worth as to attend this high school. There are so many opportunities to be a part of a team and to make a difference. Being an early college high school, I was able to obtain college credits that were right there in the classroom at my school! I got to experience many new things and have really found who I am and what I want to become in the near future.
In high school, I managed to join a variety of clubs and got to meet different people. The clubs I joined were FFA, band, and the interact club. These clubs taught me a handful of skills like leadership, social skills, and creativity within our society. I handled a lamb while in the FFA club for 6 months. I raised this little lamb from being stubborn to creating a friendship with me. It was a frustrating road but I managed to stay calm and understand the importance of raising an animal while taking college classes and finishing up high school. In band, they taught me patience. Be patient when things tend to get frustrating and overwhelming. I would always receive difficult pieces of music and I would take deep breaths and focus and be patient with myself. In interact club, I traveled around the area I live in and helped the community cleaning up roads, providing socks for the nursing home, and giving away candies for a safe Halloween for children.
I am a senior at PSJA Early College High School. I am grateful to have attended this school because of its great opportunities. Such as free college classes, amazing teachers, and extracurriculars. I was fortunate enough to have college classes in my freshman year, so I could finish my associates sooner. The staff is amazing because of the afterschool tutoring they do on their own time for their own students. I academically improved because of the dedication the teachers have for their students. In addition, my time in the band has taught me that patience and hard work pays off in the end. We also display our Hispanic culture throughout the year, such as Dia de Los Muertos. I'm truly grateful for PSJA Early College High School for having an amazing administration dedicating it for students.
