P.S. 55 - Maure Reviews

I graduated from PS55 a few years back. I definintely had some good memories, however most were because of the students and teachers. Many teachers were great, but a few weren't as lively. In fact-in the second grade we had a teacher that would occasionally flip a students desk in anger and had prominent favorites-however he was dealt with and I do feel they did a good job in making sure he never did so again. All my other teachers were great though, and it was a basic elementary experience. My younger brother attends in at the moment and it has gotten even better since I left with an amazing brand new playground. My only problems are the favoritism and principal and assistant principal. They do not now how to run a happy school and most decisions aren't even made by them. There is also clear favoritism by all the staff-every single member. But otherwise I would send your children here. Academics are average and have gotten better as well.
