My son Tahir Mohamed will be graduating June 2018. He had a successful ride from K-5. We had some ups and downs but the overall outcome was great. Thank you to all his teachers and school staff. A huge thank you to the school Nurse Ms. Gregory (Now it's rare a public school nurse get recognize) She is awesome - treated my child like her own. I know Tahir and myself will miss her. Also, P.S 161 kids are in good hands with her and the school staff/ teachers.. Thank you again to Ms Hoder and entire team. God bless and Stay safe :) Amanda Mohamed.
I loved the teachers there. The teachers are great because they provide a support system if a student is trailing off in class. Teachers in this school care about the future of the students that attend there. The academics at this school are some of the most quality that an elementary student can receive.
I attended P.S 161 for five years from Kindergarten to fifth grade and it has by far been the best school. All the teachers genuinely cared for the students and I know for sure I was taught by the best. The conditions made me very comfortable, meaning it was never dirty and always cool. I'm in high school but I often think about the good memories I gained from there.
