Being a student at Olmsted has been one of the most rewarding experiences ever. Coming from other BPS, I have a strong idea of what other schools in the city are like. At Olmsted, all the students and staff are supportive of each other and there are so many extracurricular activities offered there that make it easy to have a very full and appealing resume when the time comes. Academics at Olmsted are also extraordinary. It is a very rigorous college-prep style of learning but it does pay off. There, the counselors make sure you are on track to be advanced and stand out to colleges. There is a number of AP courses to choose from as well as electives that many of my peers at other schools don't have. I strongly believe that the choice to be at Olmsted for the last 8 years of my education was one of the best decisions ever made.

It's a college preparation School. It has a variety of academics including several AP classes. It also has a nice selection of elective courses. There are many choices for food including a salad bar and vegan/vegetarian options. It is the most diverse school in city. There are many different kinds of clubs including Multicultural Club, LGBT Club, yearbook, student council, etc. The teachers are awesome and so are the students. We come together especially on a sports team's senior night, spirt week, dances, and field day.
Olmsted has always been a roller coaster. Some years you'd really enjoy and others you would dread going. The administration is not very lenient with those who do deserve it. The building itself is disgusting. After having spent billions of dollars in renovations, few years later we had plumbing issues (the entire 4th floor flooded and ruined stuff in kids lockers, the gym floor was warped, and the elevator started on fire.
