Some of the paraprofessionals don't do anything. They just sit there on their phones doing random things that are not related to helping the student they are assigned to. The principal and assistant principals should be more active and do random visits or look through the windows to make sure that those paras aren't slacking off.

PS 153 overall a good school. This school has great teacher and are very helpful. Resources for tutoring and after-school programs need to be updated .As for
daily physical activities for kids to get energy out such as gym and lunch playtime I feel that needs to be more staff on hand to watch a larger group of children. There was a music program offered but not offer to the entire School. I think with most public schools in Queens you'll find that schools are overstuffed classes sometimes reach 32 children to one teacher this should be reduced or an additional teacher should be needed.
In the GT program, every teacher is encouraging and always tries to help you in any way. However, there were limited options and the 6th graders were pretty bad influences.
