What I like about Proviso West High school is that their is always help. Such as if you have a conflict in any way, academically, socially, emotionally. Their administration has many resources and people who can help you with your problems. They have many staff that care about students education and who want to see students succeed. This school is teaching many life lessons and lessons that will make me grow as a person. Moreover, I think that the administration can try and listen to the students opinions, thoughts, and feelings.

My experience at Proviso was about average. Most teachers were concerned about my academic journey. Although I was surrounded by many students that really did not care about their post-secondary plan. This was challenging. Finding friends with the same mind set at mine was extremely difficult. Although if you make the right friends, you can actually go somewhere. Such as joining clubs that put you with people with similar interests.
My entire four years at Proviso West High School was average. It was not the greatest but it also wasn't terrible. The school provides the academics that you need. They don't give us the best teachers but most of them are wonderful. Some of the teachers are rude and don't care. Many people complain about West not preparing you for college. However, that is the students fault. The counselors and college and career center are always available to help you to fill out applications and to look for scholarships. It is just that the students are lazy and like blaming other people for the actions that they did not take. The staff is nice and helpful most of the time. However, the bathrooms are very dirty. Academically the school is good but the environment is poor. There is no school spirit and it is gloomy.
