Proviso West was a distinctive learning experience. I truly feel like there were a lot of memorable moments I've had during my time in Proviso. Some teachers were passionate and ready to teach, and others not so helpful at all. But overall I found that the majority wanted to see you thrive. In terms of staff such as security, front desk, and also some of the administrators in the school, they didn't always seem to knowledgeable of specific events or activities going on in the school. Overall, I believe that organization was the biggest problem. Sometimes events and activities weren't communicated to parents/students/staff properly so it made hard to find the correct information. Also there were a lot of mix ups with attendance and tardies that "couldn't" be fixed. But I believe if you find the right teachers, you should be able to get through all your classes successfully.

My experience at Proviso West High school was pretty good. I liked most of my teachers, many of them helped me when I struggled and understood. The counselors also were very useful when asking about school related information. Some things I would like to change is that in one class the teacher wasn't involved as much because they were busy, which I had a difficult time understanding the subject. Also, I feel that schools in general should teach more about being adults and going out to the world and teaching them information they need to know (Ex. Credit, budget etc.).
I chose average because I think overall as a school district things could be much better. Some of the teachers could be more attentive to the fact that students learn at different paces and different methods could be used as far as teaching. Some teachers teach with an I don’t care attitude. I know that’s not just in my school district but worldwide. There are some good teachers at the school, that really care about the students as well. Overall, it’s an okay school
