I entered into PCA my freshman year. I believe that it is one of the best educations a student can receive. The teachers are all former professionals in their field (the chemistry teacher was a chemist at a major lab for 15+ years, the English teacher has published many works, etc). The teachers put massive amounts of energy into their lesson plans and take lots of personal time to help struggling students. I could not rate the teaching any hire. Absolutely Excellent!
The school is incredibly religious, so take that with a grain of salt when considering if you want to send a student there. They WILL be pressured to convert if they are not already a Christian. (Daily GRADED theology classes, mandatory chapel, etc.) If you are a Christian then it is a very supportive environment.
School spirit is pathetic. Basically no sports.
Parents and Administration are incredibly repressive.
Great academics. Very strict, no fun or school spirit.

Providence is excellent at developing inquisitive and creative leaders. The curriculum is challenging and the teachers are engaging. Educations is not solely based on what is learned in books, but also based on nurturing moral standards that align with a positive Christian worldview. The small student body within lower and upper schools can be beneficial when it comes to learning, but also a negative experience when it comes to social culture and sports.
It is a great school with strong academics, many leadership opportunities, and it does an amazing job at preparing its students for college.
