After struggling to find a stable due to custody problems, I had finally found a secure home to focus on my academics without distractions. Shortly after, Covid-19 spread, and caused everyone to transition to virtual school. Which then posed another challenge for me, as I struggled with virtual learning. But, when my mother and I discovered Providence, we we’re immediately blown away about how they handled their in person learning during the midst of Covid, their community, as well as how they help the student learn on a personal level. Providence will forever be held to the highest standard in my mind!

Review Providence Christian Academy

I'd say that Providence excels when it comes to academics, sports, and the arts - especially considering that it's a private school and that they don't receive government funding in any way. Some grievances I have though have to do with the constant changes regarding teachers, administration, and class schedule. I have also found it increasingly hard to find a cliche or space where I truly belong during the six years that I've been at Providence. I am unsure whether to blame this grievance on the small school population or the somewhat toxic culture that a religious-based school can cause among the students, especially in a generation where a lot of young people are having to deal with mental illnesses, the rise of the LGBTQ+ community, and an increasingly secular culture. This school is full of loving teachers and people who truly embrace the ideals of Jehovah but as a whole, I wouldn't say the school does an amazing job at dealing with today's newer generation of troubled teenagers.

Providence is an extremely diverse school for a private school in Georgia, which I loved. I was able to make many friends from different backgrounds and cultures. The school is very God-oriented both in curriculum and environment. However, I didn't like the issues regarding administration and leadership. Every year of my high school career I have had a different principal, schedule, and many new changes. This made every year unpredictable and hard to adapt to, I would have appreciated some consistency.
