I have been lucky to have a great experience with PHS. It is a very positive atmosphere with a lot of kind students and faculty. We also have a therapy dog named Ringo that you can come and pet whenever you want/need which is amazing.
The teachers are very helpful and want to see you succeed. They are able to recognize when you are putting in effort, even if it does not show up on your grades. I have not yet had one bad teacher, and a lot of my past teachers have actually given me a lot of amazing life advice. I will definitely keep in touch with some of them after I graduate!

My experience at Prospect High School has been very beneficial to creating the person I am today. Prospect High School provides a rigorous curriculum, a large assortment of clubs, and great resources for each student so that they can thrive and become ready for their post-high school education. On the other hand, Prospect suffers from a diversity problem which is largely caused by the lack of diversity in the surrounding neighborhoods. This lack of adversity has even given it the nickname of "White Castle". In addition, the food served is overpriced for the average student and not greatly palatable, which drives many students to leave the campus for lunch. Teachers at Prospect have been largely very considerate and knowledgeable with exception of select few, but no more than at any other school I have attended. My hopes are that the school will continue on with it's great academic standing, but address some of the more reasonable demands of students.
I enjoyed Prospect! I was respected by all of my teachers, given a slew of extracurricular activities to participate in, and the grading system and syllabus was simple. All of my accomodations were met and fulfilled thanks to my I.E.P, which was set up, thankfully, by my case manager. At PHS, I was able to take the electives I wanted to take, like Creative Writing and Sports & Entertainment Marketing. As for extracurriculars, I had the opportunity to lead my schools Video Game Club and participate on our state-championship winning Speech Team. Whether it be the fact that I met many new friends here, or having great educational opportunities like getting to teacher assist in one of my school's special education classes, I truly have nothing bad to say about Prospect High School.
