I love Prospect so far! My experience with teachers and classes have been great! There are many varying classes to take, career pathway classes, Honors and AP, anything you could ask for. The teachers are well versed in their subjects, and leave students with a good understanding of the material. Prospect offers many extra curricular activities, that allow students to get involved with others while doing something they are passionate about! Although I am not yet done with my career at Prospect, I am feeling prepared for college, and am grateful for my years at Prospect, knowing they’ll benefit me as I venture into the world!
I have had the benefit of not only a great experience at PHS but a feeling of incredible support from our community. I have benefited from great support from coaches and teachers as well. PHS offers an abundance of resources both on and off the field. Student support from the upperclassmen for the incoming freshman is critical. PHS has a team of senior level students that are available to support incoming students, addressing questions or concerns, peer to peer. The teachers are authentic and present. I was struggling a big in Honors French my sophomore year and the French teacher took my aside, offering additional help which resulted in better grade and for me personally, fed my love of languages instead of getting frustrating and leaving my pursuit of hire learning.
As a senior, I look back and valued my time at PHS. I am lucky as I have three younger siblings that will be walking the halls, so coming back to visit will be a must!

My experience at Prospect for the most part was alright. Most of my teachers over the past 4 years have been very resourceful and were enthusiastic about their subjects. The school offers many AP classes to students and has helped shape me for my future education. The school has good academics, however, there are various other issues that the school needs to address. First is the rampant racism throughout all grade levels. With the school being most predominately white, racial slurs are thrown around frequently and not much is done to solve the issue. Second is the mental health and overall well being of the student body. Students, like myself, who've reached out for help with their mental health have been pushed away by the staff. Anytime I've gone to student services with concerns for my mental health, the counselors and staff send a call home and don't even check up afterward. Overall, Prospect is a great school for academics, but they need to do more to benefit their students.
