It's overall a very nice school, however there are some teachers who aren't very good. The only other problem is the lack of attention the Guidance Counselor gives to the seniors who need her help the most. The school is pretty diverse but kids tend to stick with people within their own Academy and hardly ever make friends with others. Loften is a wonderful school, it's small so everyone basically knows everyone and there are never any fights. The only problems we have are kids occasionally breaking small rules and getting ISS. Personally, I know that me and a good majority of the other students don't like having to wear academy uniforms, especially during summertime, the uniforms are hot and living in Florida it only makes it worse.

The Professional Academy Magnet at Loften High School is a very small school of barely 300 children combined in all grade levels. When you are fist introduced to this school you think it will be the best school ever! But that is a lie. You dont get the full highschool experience like you see in movies. They have no sports; barely any clubs and you mostly sit at a computer or in a chair for 80 minutes each class period. Also due to long lines you barely have enough time to eat. Also buses barely get you to school on time in the morning so if you wanted to go finish a test for a teacher in the morning, you really cant because you would be arriving 2 minutes to school before the bell rings. If you normally wanted to eat at school you might want to think again because the buses arent really going to let you get enough time at school. Then when its raining on the campus there is giant puddles all along the campus and sidewalk that you arent really getting covered anywhere you go.
The teachers were very understanding and supportive. I love how it gave students in pursuit of art, health, and mechanics an opportunity to hone their skills and put them to more technical use. I personally think that more should be done in regards to incorporating school teams, such as sports, and school spirit competitions. While I think the school itself is decent overall, I think that they could improve the academics department by hiring more teachers for higher-level, or more challenging classes.
