Pritzker College Prep Reviews
Rating 4.32 out of 5 60 reviews
At Pritzker College Prep, students receive a great education from passionate teachers, and participate in extracurricular activities to further their passions or to introduce them to something new that they may become passionate about. There are endless ways for students to get involved. Students also have the ability to create their own after school clubs if they do not find one that specifically interests them. During my time there, I was involved in several sports and in a few clubs like choir club. I was also working on community service, which is something all students are required to do. One thing I both like and dislike about Pritzker was the uniform. It was great not having to think about what you'd wear the next day, but it became annoying when teachers would reprimand students for small uniform mistakes like having a belt that was a color other than black. Overall, my experience at Pritzker is a valuable one that I will never forget.
As a senior at Pritzker College Prep, there has been many highs and my lows. Many of these lows being caused by the global Covid-19 pandemic. For example, missing freshman year, students being behind on educational needs due to e-learning and being in an environment learning how to handle coming back into a school environment both teachers and students. But with these lows comes some of the best highs. For instance, being in an environment filled with teachers and staff who give countless opportunities to help students be successful regardless of previous terms. Not to mention being in an environment where students feel safe, cared for and protected. Pritzker isn’t just a school were students learn, it’s a community where some of my favorite memories and people are at.
My overall experience at Pritzker was neither good nor bad. Pritzker is based in a Hispanic neighborhood leading its main ethnicity with Hispanic students and staff, as a Hispanic student myself I didn't mind but there was little to no diversity. There were very little to no activities, clubs, and sports, which made it hard to want to participate in anything. My four years at Pritzker were made with making friends and learning more about myself as the Pritzker team has a strong support system of social workers and Culture team members who are there not only to aid you but to discipline you.
