From Princeton Academy of the Sacred Heart

At Princeton Academy of the Sacred Heart, we believe in transparency. We believe in partnership with parents and the wellness of the boys in our care. We also believe in and bring to life the K–8 journey. We encourage you to come visit and see our community in action, including meeting our visionary Headmaster, Rik Dugan.

Most important to finding that right-fit learning environment for your son is an in-person campus visit. Research is the next step, by digging deep into the true ethos of a school via discussions with faculty, school leaders, and current and past parents.

I can honestly say that Princeton Academy delivers on their promise of bringing out the best in boys. Princeton and its environs have so many great options of schools, however, no other school, in my opinion, places as much emphasis on how they develop their students to be good people. As parents it is sometimes tempting to focus on the obvious benefits of private schools: small class sizes, high caliber academics, etc., but what Princeton Academy offers is that AND more: character building, spiritual nourishment, life skills, moral guidance, mindful reflection - the list goes on. The school, its leadership team, and educators provide a healthy and supportive environment for each boy to thrive and recognize the good within themselves so that when they go on to their next schools (which happen to consistently be the best secondary schools in the nation) they can contribute in meaningful ways. Absolutely the best - thank you Princeton Academy!

What a phenomenal experience we had at Princeton Academy! Our son grew from a boy to a true gentleman. We had great comfort in sending him to school everyday knowing he was surrounded by kind, thoughtful, smart, giving young men who care from families that shared our same goals and values for our sons. He had an amazing experience, tried and loved new sports, pushed himself to work hard and made the greatest group of friends. Our whole family loved our Academy experience; the families we met, the relationships we made, the adventures we all took together. The mostly male faculty served as amazing role models and lead by great example. Our son was beyond prepared for High School, and he still credits his Academy experience with teaching him how to be a gentleman, to lead with kindness and that he can do anything he puts his mind to. Princeton Academy has truly been beyond all of our expectations.
This is a wonderful community of students, educators, and parents! My son has made personal connections with a number of teachers who I believe truest “see” him. Daily handshakes with the Head of School and Head of Lower School are additional ways the school intentionally promotes personal connections for the boys. The Friday Thank Yous are a beautiful tradition which uniquely shows the boys the power of expressing thanks. I often refer to this place as a hidden gem in Princeton. When you see the campus and experience the community you’ll understand too!
