My experience at the Preuss School UCSD was amazing. As I spent time here, I realize that this school is a safe community for me to be in. I made new friends who I grew very close with these past 5 years. It's almost unbelievable that there's only 2 more years left until we separate and go off into our own ways into college. In addition, the Preuss School UCSD fantastic resources that help us students to get accepted into 4 year colleges. The school provides us opportunities with scholarships and internships directed towards our school only. This demonstrates the schools capabilities in creating connections with other programs to support the low income students at this school. I really appreciate what this school has offered to me, and I consider myself to be really lucky to be able to attend here. I do not regret coming here, and so I would like to say my overall experience with the Preuss School UCSD has by far been spectacular!

The Preuss School UC San Diego has always been a great school with a great mission. Although, the curriculum is tedious and very time consuming, I think I can speak for everyone in my Senior class and all of Preuss’ graduates when I say, attending Preuss for 7 years was worth it. This school prepared us for college like no other school could. With CSU applications open, and UC’s coming, we have specific time and specific teacher/counselors to guide us in the application. At Preuss everyone is UC and CSU eligible and are very prepared, having finished and edited our UC prompts since the beginning of the year. Preuss’ mission is to send low income students to a 4-year university and they accomplish it every year. They help us pay our University applications, SAT tests, and ACT test. Preuss has taught us that the tedious and time consuming work is what universities are like. In every aspect, Preuss has prepared us, low-income students, to be successful wherever we go in life.
Overall the school is good, and I like the people there. The only major issue I have is with the office ladies. They are rude, and have a negative attitude all the time. When I go in they turn me away or tell to come another time. They definitely don't make me feel welcome. I have several friends, that the office ladies ( Ms. Villanueva, and Ms. Vanessa) lost their paperwork or bus passes, and they make the students pay for them. Extremely irresponsible and upsetting. Looking at them in the mornings honestly makes me upset.
