I have been at Preuss for 3 years now and I love it here! I love the diversity I see when I go to school because it makes me feel like I belong. The teachers are amazing! They truly care about their students and the future of their students and it really reflects in their teachings and the extra help that they offer. The teachers really prepare their students for college with many opportunities that assist them into getting into a great college. Something I would like the school to focus on is prioritizing more time in preparing students to take the SAT and ACT. As an upcoming senior, I feel like the teachers have, although great, assigned a ridiculous amount of homework that makes it impossible for students to balance school and testing for college. I felt really unprepared when I got to the test center this year, but luckily, testing was cancelled due to COVID.

My experience at the Preuss School UCSD was amazing. I have been at the Preuss School UCSD since 6th grade and ever since then they had been preparing me for college. This school provides many opportunities for low income students, which would include myself. I’ve gone to many informational meetings and events in/ out of school in order to prepare for my dream of being in the medical field. Without the countless opportunities I wouldn’t even know how to start to prepare for my future with the fantastic resources that help us students to get accepted into 4 year colleges. The school provides us opportunities with scholarships and internships directed towards our school only. This demonstrates the schools capabilities in creating connections with other programs to support the low income students at this school. I really appreciate what this school has offered to me, and I consider myself to be really lucky to be able to attend here.
My experience at the Preuss School UCSD was amazing. As I spent time here, I realize that this school is a safe community for me to be in. I made new friends who I grew very close with these past 5 years. It's almost unbelievable that there's only 2 more years left until we separate and go off into our own ways into college. In addition, the Preuss School UCSD fantastic resources that help us students to get accepted into 4 year colleges. The school provides us opportunities with scholarships and internships directed towards our school only. This demonstrates the schools capabilities in creating connections with other programs to support the low income students at this school. I really appreciate what this school has offered to me, and I consider myself to be really lucky to be able to attend here. I do not regret coming here, and so I would like to say my overall experience with the Preuss School UCSD has by far been spectacular!
