Prestonwood Christian Academy Reviews
Rating 3.94 out of 5 141 reviews
As a parent of multiple children who’ve gone to or are currently at PCA, i would give the lower school 5 stars… we’ve loved it! The staff and (most) teachers are loving, kind, and exceptional at their jobs. However, don’t expect the same level of excellence once your child gets into the middle school. Something unfortunate happens in the cohesiveness of the transition between 4th grade and into 5th and beyond. Based on my experience with the leadership in the middle school, id say it’s high time for a total revamping. The palpable discord, lack of communication, issues with discipline, and many other serious issues are glaring and have lead to a hostile and unhealthy environment for so many kids. We have been so disappointed with PCA, as of late, and feel the high cost of the education is just not worth the price tag anymore. This will likely be our last year. It’s a sad day when a parent starts to believe a kid is better off at a public school than at a private Christian school.
I love Prestonwood and have been here for 9 years. From the first time I walked in the doors, everyone has been so kind and inclusive towards others. The teachers know the subjects well, and are very good role models. I would say one thing to change would be the library. It's small for our school, but not terribly small either. Anyone looking at a great private school, I highly recommend Prestonwood!
I think that Prestonwood Christian Academy is a great place. They have pretty strong Christian values and have pretty solid academics, athletics, and academic programs and activities. However, the social side of PCA, is definitely what makes my rating go down. People can form cliques very easily based on outward appearance and social standing. People are a lot more interested in their own appearances and fitting in, rather than including others and making them feel welcome. However, most of the teachers there are great.
