Preble High is a great place to go for further growth personally, academically, and mentally. Having a very diverse student population, including foreign exchange students, Preble openly encourages diversity and open-mindedness. Staff are very friendly, knowledgeable, and humorous. They are also very considerate of students, taking time in and outside of class to encourage students' personal growths, as well as developing interpersonal communication. Allowing language education in Spanish, Italian, French, Chinese, and travel periods for ASL, Preble has shown to have high success rates in these languages. School spirit is highly encouraged on a daily basis, "Preble, Home of the Hornets" is the place to be! Every student is embraced, with spread awareness on mental health, disabilities (special classes to enable students to grow), language barriers (ELL classes here are excellent), and overall diversity. Preble also appeals to athletes and leaders, with Division 1 Sports and NHS, etc.
I loved the entire community! Students, faculty, teachers and even janitors! Everyone is so friendly and the school itself is very diverse and contains a couple thousand students. I was constantly meeting new people and discovering new friend groups. The memories I have made at Preble will last me a lifetime, and though I am sad my senior year was cut short, Preble has been doing an amazing job at staying in touch with their student and making sure that we are all comfortable during this crisis!
I liked the amazing opportunities and staff! They had an amazing community and class choices, however, sometimes there was a disconnect between staff and students which lead to harsh relations amongst some students, especially underprivileged students.
