Poway High School is where I first experienced genuine connection and care from teachers and faculty. I loved my four years and the many opportunities in academics, clubs, and extra curriculars where I could expand my interests and knowledge. Poway High is a 10/10, and anyone desiring an excellent education would be blessed to attend!

I really like how there are so many extracurriculars and clubs for students to join. Also, the counselors and teachers actually care about their student's success, oppose to just "doing their job". If you genuinely ask a teacher for help, they will do everything in their efforts to make sure that you understand the material. But something that I would definitely like to see change is the bullying problem. Although Poway high has tons of kindness weeks, and tons of lectures, speeches, and quotes around campus about treating others fairly, bullying is still a huge issue that the school is unable to get rid of. And usually, most of the bullies don't even know that they're bullies! A majority of the time, they think that they're telling a funny joke, but have no clue that it affects someone else in a harmful way. But me and a lot of other people were able to look past the bullying and not let it affect us. Even though there are cons, the pros truly outweigh the cons at Poway High School
Poway High is a very special place for me because I have made so many memories there. It’s where I had my first speaking role in a play, where I spent the most time with my friends, and where I have my most favorite teacher! I also had the pleasure of showing my exchange student the wonderful campus life and activities.
