I love being part of a small school. We have all the perks of a larger school while having small class sizes and the opportunity to get to know all your classmates. The small class size gives the teachers time to give each student personalized attention.
I have attended Pottsboro with most of my classmates since kindergarten. A few of my classmates even went to Pre-School together.
As with most Texas schools, Football is a huge part of our high school years. School spirit is over the top and does not just include the cheerleaders. The entire student section participates with signs, decorations, costumes and anything else the spirit leader presents to us.

I have only attended Pottsboro High School for one and a half school years. In my time here I have met incredible people who made my transition to Pottsboro easier. Aside from my peers, even the teachers made me feel welcome. Given the smaller size of each grade there is a lot more connectedness between the teachers and students, which has been very beneficial to my learning. The size also makes it easier to become involved in clubs. The size does greatly take away from the diversity though. Overall within the academic, and college readiness aspects Pottsboro is pretty average.
Pottsboro High school is like my second house in here. This school taught me from someone who doesn't speak English to become a speaker of that language. The teacher taught me everything from simple things, because they try to help me master English. They taught me to write, speak and listen by observing their actions. Besides, friends also help me by talking a lot to help me improve my listening. since then I have tried to learn more. The reasons for make me better in English is teachers, friends, and environment all good and we were help each other. Small school but it’s big heart.
