As a freshman, I didn't know what to expect from Potomac Falls High School. Sure, many upperclassmen have told me stories about it, but after attending from three years, I didn't expect what the outcomes were going to be. My three years of high school have been no where close to what other people have told me. Looking back at it, the main reason why my experience wasn't like theirs was because I joined clubs. Freshmen year, I did some clubs, the clubs that were mostly popular with a lot of students signed up, but going into sophomore I realized exactly how many clubs my school had to offer, and that was a lot! I went all out doing clubs sophomore year, and although it's not something I recommend for everyone, it's actually worth trying. Potomac Falls High School isn't exactly what other people told me what it was going to be, I chose to step out of my comfort zone and make friends with the people I knew that would make it enjoyable for me while still guiding me in the right path.

This school is good, but there are some things it could work on. The athletics in the school are very good, as well as the diversity, school culture, and music and art departments. Clubs and activities are well managed too. However, discipline for bad students is sometimes lacking, and not all teachers are very able when it comes to their subject of choice. The college readiness in this school isn't excellent, and to have a chance at going to a good college you have to work hard. The college counselors only prepare you to go to mediocre schools. But the school counseling department is good, and the school food is actually okay. Overall, I'd say this school is better than average, but not "very good."
Overall, I had a pretty average high school experience at Potomac Falls. I think the kids here are nice enough and definitely accepting of those who are different. I haven't seen much prejudice or racism at this school, although that might be because I'm straight and white.
Some of my teachers sucked, but I had some good ones, too, so at least there's a balance, I guess. Food is average crappy high school cafeteria food, but it seems to be getting better.
The workload at Potomac Falls is pretty easy for most classes and in general the expectations are ridiculously low. There are some exceptions to this if you take really high level courses but overall you can kind of skirt by with minimal effort, which doesn't really prepare you for the real world.
