We are so grateful that we decided to send our daughter to Portersville Christian. We were looking for a school that could provide a solid education while partnering with us as parents to instill a biblical foundation. Our daughter is in first grade and has a Bible class every day along with her regular subjects, which also integrate biblical principles. She is able to attend chapel with the entire elementary once a week and has specials daily. The learning environment has been so good for her with a smaller class size and individualized instruction. Highly recommend!
Our kids chose to transfer to PCS from public school when they were entering 9th (daughter) and 10th (son) grades. It was truly a life changing experience for our entire family. Not only did our entire family grow in our faith, but our kids received an excellent education that prepared them well for college. Both were accepted into their first choice college with transferrable credits they earned while attending PCS. They were well prepared academically for the rigors of the college classroom and spiritually for the challenges of a more secular environment. This little picturesque school on the hill holds such a special place in our hearts. We'd recommend it to any family looking for a Christian school with a strong academic reputation.
I have an alumni of PCS and a Junior. We love the supportive atmosphere of the whole school. Because the school is smaller you can try sports and activities without necessarily “trying out”. There are slot of opportunities if kids and families take advantage of them. We have participated in Soccer, archery, fine arts and social events. My alumni credits the rigors of dual enrollment with her success in college and my son loves being able to do AP and dual enrollment and earn college credit. It’s a sacrifice to pay tuition for school but it’s well worth it and helps mold kids into productive Christian adults.
