While Port St. Lucie High School isn't an A school yet, the school has become a big family to me. I came to Port St. Lucie High School with little friends and a broken heart from recent family issues. Not only did the students at the high school help me become a better person, but the teachers and the administrators as well. The teachers at PSL are caring mentors who will do anything in their power to help you succeed if you extend the hand of course. I could not imagine me going to any other high school than PSL because the school has influenced my character development for the better, helped me grieve properly over my family issue, and presented me with best friends that I know I can count on for a lifetime. Once a Jaguar, always a Jaguar!

In my four years at Port Saint Lucie High School, I have encountered numerous teachers that have cultivated my academic career, and my personal life as well. Additionally, being an IB Diploma Candidate has opened up opportunities for me that would not have been available for me if it weren't for the school's variety of courses. However, a change I would like to see take place is to shift away from mediocracy. I have recently noticed that administration encourages students to achieve the bare minimum in order to increase school scores, but personally, I believe education is a tool that should be treated like a privilege. Doing the absolute best you can do should be the goal, not mediocracy.
Port St. Lucie high school has been a great experience so far. They have a wide selection of book in library. The school has many spirit days and they also have tutoring. The teachers are well workers and do what they must do. The students are not the best but some like me are staying out of trouble and listening to what the school teaches us. The school informs us on bullying, which is great. Everything at this school so far has been wonderful and I still expect great things. They have great diversity within students, and worker, based on cultures and race. This high school has a great IB and Duel Enrollment program. The school lunch is the same as every other public school in our county. They have a wide variety of clubs, activities, and sports. They have great parent involvements because they even bring the parents in so that the student may explain how they are doing at school, and what they like.
