Pope John Paul II High School Reviews
Rating 3.99 out of 5 118 reviews
When I was deciding on a high school. Pope John Paul II drew my attention because of their unique atmosphere. Everyone was so welcoming and made me feel like I was part of a second family. The teachers will do anything to help you seceded in not only high school but life beyond. Everything at this school was what I hoped for and more. The only thing I would like to see improved is the communication about events to the students. I feel like not everyone is completely aware of certain things happening. Other than that, the school is amazing and I would recommend it to anyone.
I graduated Pope John Paul ii in 2022. Although I thoroughly enjoyed my high school experience, I will say specifically that if you are hoping to gain AP credits, you have to be prepared to essentially teach yourself the course. I was disappointed to find out that teachers there mainly viewed their AP periods as free time and are hardly held to any standard at all when it comes to their classes' general averages on the exams. Overall, I loved this school, but their teachers need to be held to a higher standard.
I loved my experience at PJP and it’s been a huge blessing in my life to go there! The opportunities they give their students have impacted my life greatly. I am involved in musical theater, show choir, and band at PJP. In these programs I’ve been able to make so many friendships and I’ve learned so much about the craft that I love. School used to be something I dreaded and once I went to PJP I learned to love school and I really get excited about learning and seeing everyone each day. Pope John Paul’s response to covid was to have us go to school in a hybrid form. I am so grateful for the opportunity to get to go to school safely during these times. Pope John Paul the Second High School has been an amazing experience so far and although I am sad to leave, I am very excited to move onto college and further my studies in music and in therapy.
