What an incredible school! Such a priviledge having my girls here. Best we have experienced in a life full of travelling!
Amazing administration, kind and creative teachers, high parent involvement, well-maintained building and campus -- overall it's a very positive environment. I agree that they do not have a very diverse student body population but still more so than surrounding private schools. As with many schools in Louisiana and the south in general, it is heavy on rules (more of an "authoritarian" model) that make little sense other than making sure that everyone complies. My daughter, who came from a Montessori environment, was shocked at the need to blow whistles and holler at kids when they are out of order at lunch and on the playground. Same with the use of behavior charts. It's degrading and much can be achieved without resorting to such tactics.
Good school, good teachers but this school lacks diversity, good food, and sports. This school though has a lot of safety, and good teachers. The parent involvement is high.
