I am a senior at Pompano Beach High School this year. The teaching in the upper level classes (AP) is pretty good. The school offers great resources in the STEM field and International Studies, with amazing programs like the International Summit. However, if there is anything Pompano can improve, it is its arts programs. Pompano should be a school where motivated students can have access to the top educational resources available for their desired career path. The arts and music programs are incredibly underdeveloped and have so much untapped potential, if the school would simply devote the resources and employees necessary to establish a successful fine arts program. I suggest looking at some of the top arts schools, such as the Walnut Hill School of the Arts, which offers a wide variety of programs that are well developed in both the STEM and arts fields, and implementing their plans into ours.

I enjoy Pompano Beach High School, I am currently a junior and I feel that I get many opportunities here that I wouldn't get at other high schools. Such as graduating with a Magnet Diploma, being a part of our International Summit, and taking advanced technology courses that will help me in the future. There are also many clubs for all different types of interests and teachers who genuinely acre about their students. We also get Fridays off which can be used for volunteer hours, studying and homework. Overall my experience at Pompano Beach High School has been excellent.
I dreamed of attending Pompano Beach High ever since I found out about the school when I was 13 years old. I excelled my freshman and sophmore year. Being a student athlete, involved in the soccer and track and field program, a straight-A-student, a mentor, and a member of the Humane Society Club, my plate was full!
