Pleasant Grove is an outstanding High School! I love our principal, Dr. Stewart, because he is so supportive of every department at our school and I know he knows me by name. All the members of the Pleasant Grove faculty are cheerful and easy to approach. For example, a month ago I thought our upcoming casual school dance was priced too high, so I went and talked to one of the assistant principals about my concern. While we talked I felt like I was being taken seriously, and when we finished the assistant principal thanked me for voicing my opinion, and three days later he informed me that they lowered the price of the dance and made a new policy for future dance prices. Not only is the faculty amazing, but the student body is too! We have unique clubs like: the Sandwich club, the Ski club, the Best Buddies club, and the HOPE Squad. My friends and I were even able to make our own club called the Ground Pong Club! I have made so many fun memories attending Pleasant Grove High School.
I love Pleasant Grove High School's culture of acceptance! At PGHS, cliques are nearly nonexistent. Everybody is friends with everybody, and this fosters an environment in which learning is easy. There is very little racial and religious diversity. The teachers, administration, and staff are intent on providing quality education for their students, and the students support their peers in working towards that same goal. I would highly recommend Pleasant Grove High School.
I loved PG! The student life was always popping and that made sporting events, pep rallies, and dances really fun. Academically I felt my needs were always met. My teachers never hesitated to offer their time during as well as outside class to give me a little extra help. One thing I would change would be the heating and air conditioning systems. The school has some very old parts, as well as some very new parts; I believe that it is the reason the temperatures from class to class would vary from frigid to boiling. PG is a really good school, and I am happy I was able to attend there.
