The teachers are really nice and supportive! I went there for summer school as a freshmen and I didn't know too much about the school but, the students were really nice and welcoming. It's a nice environment and additionally it is one of the best high schools in elk grove school district in academics. There are 4 academies that you can join which includes IDEA-engineering academy, biomedical, DMA-photography and art, and AVID-college preparatory. It is awesome.

Pleasant Grove High School is an amazing school that focuses on academics. Their programs (especially engineering) is outstanding and their equipment improves yearly. Just in 2019, they added a whole building for their Biomedical program! The teachers push you to strive while maintaining a fun high school lifestyle. If you're looking for a good school to go to, this is definitely one of the best. The students are also very friendly and make you feel welcome.
When I first began at Pleasant Grove High School I thought it was the best thing ever (but then again, I had just come from a middle school). And it was, I had good teachers, good friends. (However i did get lost many times). But, this school does get caught up in the academic world a lot. This high school is well known in the district for our high test scores and AP classes, which is great for students wanting to learn more! But, for students looking for a profession in a more vocational area, this school would not prepare them in the least, nor would they support that decision by much. This school will prepare you for college, and you will probably find a group you enjoy since there are fairly diverse groups, but it will not prepare you for the real world of living on your own. The problem is, what’s most important?
