Plant high school is everything you would want in any school, the people are easy to get along with, the teachers and counselors are understanding people, as well as anyone in the administration.
As far as what I'd like to see change, I'd have to say that I think their 2nd semester exam exemption for seniors needs a tweak. They count all absences, even if there's a really good reason for it, say for example a broken bone or a bad case of the flu... no matter what they still count it as an absence, and I don't think that's fair.
Other than that though, it's a great school and if anyone lives in the Tampa Bay area, I would 100% recommend it to anyone coming into high school.

Plant High School has been an amazing experience for me, I couldn’t of been blessed to attend another school. The atmosphere here is extraordinarily comforting and the staff is so helpful with anything we need. The students and programs here are a blessing to have, especially with the support everyone gives at this school.
I enjoyed it, there's an array of clubs and tutors to help in almost every subject. Teachers answer questions and make sure safety is key, they prove this by making students participate in lockdowns, fire escapes, and tornado watches. They are progress reports and parent teacher conferences to help students grow. There are all walks of like roaming the hallway and they all carry and share their culture through their clothes, mannerisms, and speech. Although I haven't paid much attention to sports, I have heard that our teams do excellently. There are presentations specifically designed and nights booked to prepare seniors (or really anyone) for the challenge that is college.
This school has without a doubt set me on the right track for entering and navigating my future. It has provided support and care in my high school journey and I am more than excited to see what I can do with all the skill sets it has provided me with.
Plant High School made me into the person I am today, I met some of the closest friends I have today from this school. I learned from, and built relationships with every teacher I had here. Plant is a great school.
Every AP class is available to take at Plant. You are guaranteed a challenging course load if you decide that is what you want. The AP and honors classes seem to be good prepares for college courses. There are a wide variety of sports and clubs to choose from. Most sports teams at Plant are highly competitive and well ranked.
I have had a great experience at Plant I have enjoyed my classes and always felt there was a large range to choose from. Both my teachers and counselors have been very helpful. I have been on the rowing team since the beginning which has been a great way to socialize and compete but there are a wide range of sports and clubs for almost any interest. Overall I feel like Plant has prepared me for a successful college experience!!
I love it here, I feel like it’s getting me ready for college but isn’t forcing rigor on you. The school culture is full of students helping each other become the best they can be. This also makes it a very competitive school, but that competition is not forced on you, but seeing all of the other driven students helps motivate you as well. It’s a big school, so of course it is going to have issues that any big schools have, but all in all it’s pretty great.
Personally I had a great experience at Plant. Most teachers and administrators will do their best to assure that you do well and are actively preparing yourself for college. Most teachers will be willing to provide you will extra help, you are given good textbooks and online resources to help you study and most teachers genuinely want to help you succeed. As long as you take advantage of these resources, you should do great here. Of course there are good and bad people, but considering that it's highschool, there are actually a lot of good people. Plant has AMAZING school spirit. Going to sports events or student-lead events is always fun. The school pride is super contagious and makes you feel like you're in a highschool movie. The administration is pretty slow and is constantly busy, but seeing as the school is overcrowded that is to be expected. Overall, this school tries its best to ensure your success.
A really fun atmosphere, great academics. There is a place for everyone, almost any club you could imagine.
I love the culture and friendships I have made while in High School, as I was super nervous in the beginning I ultimately found my niche. In school there will always be people for you and friends to make you just have to find them.
The overall experience was excellent very caring staff. Could be more diverse in clubs and activities.
I have loved the community at Plant. The friday night football games in the Fall are just one of the epic opportunities to hang with friends and attend school events. I have lived going to soccer games, swim meets and basketball games too! All of my teachers have genuinely cared about my future and my successes. I have found many opportunities to serve others and be involved with my faith, my hobbies, and with sports!
I am very glad I spent my high school years at Plant. Teachers are supportive and connected. I have had many teachers go above and beyond to help me.
Plant allowed me to grow both as a student and as a person. My teachers inspired me to learn, and taught me how to love learning.
At Plant, I am on the football team, I did marching band for one year, and was also in chorus. All of the programs had great people in them. I got to spend time with them and learn more about the interesting people in the programs. I also took a few AP classes and every teacher I got always wanted what is best for me. I am so lucky I get to go there.
Plant high school is a very active community and we all collaborate as a family to overcome problems and come to solutions. The school offers many great opportunities for being successful and great extracurricular activities and clubs to get involved in.
