PSHS honestly was a great experience for me because it slightly introduced me to what life will be in college. With a huge open campus, new driving privileges, and the ability to delegate your school schedule, it was a refreshing experience versus what I went through the past 10 years in grade school. MOST teachers were enjoyable and did a fantastic job teaching, however there were some who made going to school a drag. The food on campus wasn't that good, so most of us went off campus for lunch which was always a great time. Lots of opportunities in education, pinnacle school spirit, and a great band!
Review Plano Senior High School
Like all schools, there are many things I'd change about Plano Senior Highschool (although I do enjoy going to this school quite a bit!)
I hold a conservative point of view, which tends to clash with the liberal majority of my peers. It's fresh seeing the diversity in nationalities, cultures, and so on. I've met Hindus, atheists, and pagans, all in one campus! How diverse! One thing I enjoy about this school is the diversity of thought and ideology.
Besides the students who attend here (some devoted, but not all unfortunately), I love the teachers here who have never failed to be devoted. Although, there have been one weird incidence with a rule-breaking teacher. (I must be honest.).
The curriculum here is one of my favorites, although I wish they had taught more languages such as German or Chinese, which is available at other Plano schools. I love the amount of electives for things ranging from agriculture, to entrepreneurship, to childcare!
Plano Senior High School was definitley had a positive atmosphere towards school spirit and carrying on so many life long traditions! On the other hand, my experience as a student taking on rigorous AP classes, teachers were, in a sense, the source of pressure when it came to either AP exams or college talk in general which was not really a BIG factor, but it played a part in our overall stress towards our future! Plano Senior and Plano, in general, holds a stance of excellence and they strive to keep it going, it's the way they approach that needs work.
