Like all schools, there are many things I'd change about Plano Senior Highschool (although I do enjoy going to this school quite a bit!)
I hold a conservative point of view, which tends to clash with the liberal majority of my peers. It's fresh seeing the diversity in nationalities, cultures, and so on. I've met Hindus, atheists, and pagans, all in one campus! How diverse! One thing I enjoy about this school is the diversity of thought and ideology.
Besides the students who attend here (some devoted, but not all unfortunately), I love the teachers here who have never failed to be devoted. Although, there have been one weird incidence with a rule-breaking teacher. (I must be honest.).
The curriculum here is one of my favorites, although I wish they had taught more languages such as German or Chinese, which is available at other Plano schools. I love the amount of electives for things ranging from agriculture, to entrepreneurship, to childcare!
Review Plano Senior High School
Only a few more months left here at Plano for me—I'll be graduating as a senior this year! It's been a great experience overall, and I hands down think it's a better experience than I would've had at Plano West (I'm a transfer). Though I've loved Plano, I have to admit that the teachers, though mostly excellent, can be hit or miss. Plano is a completely open campus, and fights break out every now and then somewhere on the grounds. Admins limit some of the things students can do, though they're generally supportive. Sports kinda suck here—we haven't been competitive in awhile in the major ones. Like most high schools, the food isn't fantastic, and the facilities aren't particularly new or always clean. Can't say I've seen a ton of parents involved either.
During my two years at Plano Senior High, I have enjoyed the teachers, environment, and the educational opportunities. Also, not only is the environment beautiful, it prepares all of the students for college because the campus was designed like a college (multiple buildings). There are many educational opportunities at Plano Senior as well. At this school, you can take psychology, sociology, law enforcement, food science, child development, dual credit/AP/Honors courses, statistics, contemporary world issues, and many more. This shows the great opportunity that all Plano Senior students have. One thing at Plano Senior I would change would be to have more Dual Credit opportunities through Collin College.
