Pius X High School has been an excellent school for me to grow, both academically and in my faith. I am able to pick from a wide variety of interesting and advanced classes that challenge me while still managing to have fun. The multiple AP and dual credit courses offered ensure that I can get a jump on preparing for college.
At Pius, I am able to grow in my Catholic faith through weekly Mass and confessions, adoration, and retreats. In addition, each year students are required to take a Theology class to help them develop a deeper understanding of their faith. Over the course of four years, The Bible, Church History, Catholic Moral Theology, and Apologetics are covered, which gives students a solid ground for their faith.

My experience was strange (y’know, covid). Though overall, Pius handled it well and online learning wasn’t so bad.
POC diversity isn’t lacking per se, but it could be better. Not much to say on school lunch (basically what you were eating in middle school…maybe a bit better). Lots of clubs to check out. If there isn’t a club you want then gather enough people, get a teacher to sponsor it, boom. You got a club.
I’m not a sports junkie, but go to at least 2 games (preferably any of the football, basketball, or volleyball ones). The energy in those games goes crazy.
Their music/arts departments are very talented and the show choir there is lowkey amazing. The theater department is also a chill place. It’s unhinged but it eventually becomes home away from home.
Classes are chill and so are most of the teachers. They have some chill AP classes. Make friends with upperclassmen or a TA to get insiders on classes.
End point, it’s high school. Don’t take yourself too seriously. Have fun

I liked that students are able to go to mass and confession often. Going to a Catholic high school really helps you keep your faith. Keeping my faith has always been really important to me because many high school and college students often stray away from their faith. As a result, I make sure that the same thing is not happening to me. However, what I want to see change at Pius are the locker rooms. In fact, many parts of the building are old and gross. There needs to be a remodel throughout the whole building. Some ceiling tiles have holes in them and are popping off. Lights are not working in other parts of the building. It would just be nicer to see a more renovated school that has been around for quite some time. To add on, the heating and air conditioning at Pius does not work super well. Being super hot or freezing cold while trying to learn is not the ideal thing a student has to go through.
