Pitman High School Reviews
Rating 3.58 out of 5 50 reviews
Pitman’s music department is outstanding both musically and as a community. This little community created by the music teachers is a safe place that not only teaches students about music and performance, but mental health, kindness, and confidence.
Attending this school in this district was definitely a great experience. Every school will have it's pros and cons, but it is always worth the experience. Pitman is a small community, but prides itself in it's history, sports, education, community activities, and much more. It is also a walking district which allows a certain discipline that some students might not have. From grades K-12 I have had wonderful resources and opportunities to do what I enjoy and love. The community also encourages student's to branch out and be themselves in all they do. Is it frustrating being in a small community though? Well yes, sometimes. Being in a small, close community means everyone knows everyone and news (good or bad) spreads quickly, but in the end we stand for one another. It is all about the relationships in this town. If one is looking for a cute town that is safe, has great entertainment/activities, a great education, and more than this is the place for you.
Pitman High school is about as average as I can think. While its not very culturally or ethnically diverse, the people in it certainly are. Each teacher brings a different experience to their students even compared to other teachers of the same subject. However, even with repeated motivations and attempts to set stricter rules, the trouble-making students will still look for a way to get what they want and cause havoc to staff and their peers alike. The classes themselves are excellent, offering much diverse information, despite the school and town being rather small. There are much more classes that one would expect going in, and quite a lot of opportunity. The school focuses on including all students in important or unique activities that can brighten their year.
