Pioneer Ptaa Technology Greenville Middle School Reviews
Rating 4 out of 5 4 reviews
This is a great public charter school in the Greenville, Texas area! If a student would do better at a school with lower student/teacher ratio, more emphasis on academics, more personal teacher interactions, accommodations for learning styles, etc., this school would be a good fit for you! They also offer sports, music, art, robotics, computer programming, and free dual-credit college classes in high school. If a student is willing to work really hard, then they could earn an Associate's Degree by the time they graduate.
PTAA is considered a "school of choice,"- however, I think that title should be reconsidered. The reason PTAA was even considered when I moved to Greenville was because of it's early college program. They paid for 100% of my associates degree at Paris Junior College, which is wonderful. I am so grateful to have had that opportunity. Everything else, though, has been unsatisfactory. PTAA is a k-12 school but it only has one principal. She is often extremely busy and students have a hard time getting a chance to meet with her when needed. Having at least one other principal (for elementary) would change so much. Also, I've never been convinced that any of the administrators (and most teachers) have ever cared about me as an individual OR my peers. The fact that PTAA has several locations means that getting accurate information is difficult. High school classes that are not affiliated with the college program are also often pushed to the side. Not to even mention the lack in discipline.
The staff is amazing. The thing I like most about this school is they help you get college ready. They give you an opportunity to graduate with an associates degree. I have enjoyed my experience learning in our local community college, Paris junior College. I would really recommend it to students who want to graduate with their associates degree.
