Pioneer Academy Reviews
LOVE IT! I moved to NJ because of this school, students receive excellent scholarships to colleges on average over $100,000 per student. # 1 SAT Performance among private and public schools. My 9th grader is taking an AP US History with a former Harvard U. professor. Students feel valued, and teachers are dedicated. Teachers stay after school to help students advance. Students love attending the school, and there is a direct correlation to their academic success. Healthy competition and high sense of pride and achievement are clearly evident in the hallways. The school's English teacher, Harvard grad takes time after school to take students: ice skating in Manhattan (35 min away), rock climbing to build teamwork, Ivy Schools college trips. It instills confidence & leadership. Every minute of the class time is productive.
Love Pioneer Academy! Our children spend most of their day in the school, and as the saying goes "it takes a village to raise a child" and I feel that, besides family, Pioneer is that village for my son. He is half-way through the high school at Pioneer and his character is developing in a wonderful way. The administration and teachers support the students, while at the same time encourage independence for the life after the high school. It's academically challenging but that prepares them for the college and beyond. Administration is THE BEST. They really work with the students and the parents in a very honest way and will be there for your child in a very genuine, yet professional way to gear toward the right decision and to help.
I'm in the 8th grade at Pioneer Academy and in my second year. Even starting from my first month or two, I got along with everybody. The homework isn't too hard, as the teaching methods make it so everybody gets their own attention in class, letting us know anything we wish to know. It's a very friendly environment, as I'm sure no matter who you are, you'll make a friend. I always interact with my classmates. The teachers teach us through telling a story or even playing Kahoots on what we're learning, it's always fun. Whats great though is that we always learn through this. The school's staff are very understanding, and if you're even in trouble they'll help you. It also has school-wide tests which can truly help you. These are the MAP tests which let teachers see you progress. There's not a sort of competition in the school, but everybody trying to get better together. Pioneer Academy is a great school. I wish to see you here!
