Being at Pinkerton Academy for four consecutive years has shown me the culture and the feel of being a student there!
Administration is very kind. If you are respectful and abide by the reasonable rules at the school, administration, teachers, and faculty alike are unlikely to give you trouble.
There is a wide array of clubs available to people of all different interest groups. If you are an outdoor person, you may find interest in their Bass Fishing Club. If you enjoy computers, anime, Japanese culture, or even Harry Potter, there are clubs for that, as-well! There is little difficulty finding people with similar interests to yourself here!
If you require assistance with learning, coping, or managing high school in any way, the school counseling office and 504 rooms are always open and eager to help those who need it! This school is great for anyone looking for a warm, safe environment to learn and flourish as a student!

I am now a senior at Pinkerton Academy and overall think it is an amazing school. It has great classes, a great campus, and allows for students to not only try out different experiences to see what they may want to study in college, but also makes the students feel as though they are already in a college with the large campus, variety of classes, and CTE courses it offers. The sport teams often go to the championships, and the school offers great after school programs and facilities. The greatest complaints I have are with the teachers and administrators as the math department does not exactly seem as up to date as the rest of the programs, and the administration has had a lot of complaints. They often punish students without a truthfully just cause, and seem to ignore the students and what they have to say.
It’s academics are very good but language and social studies are underfunded. If you take honours/AP teachers push you to enrole in competitive colleges and some can even look down on you if you choose not to do so. There are a lot of stereotypes about levels (AP/honours being the highest, then A, B, C and exploratory). There is a math centre for students if they need help (yay) but unfortunetly it’s hard to find a teacher that knows geometry. Most teachers have been very helpful. There are a lot of clubs and classes to fit a lot of different needs/interests.
