I am listening to my daughters, both Pingree students, cracking up while recording a podcast for history class. This project is an example of the substantial, meaningful, exciting work they do at Pingree. They researched, wrote, dug deep to form their own opinions and collaborated with other students and their teachers throughout the process.
My kids love Pingree, work hard, and enjoy going each day! Great friends and leadership opportunities. Terrific relationships with adults.
The parent experience is fabulous. We have made wonderful friends, volunteer, and are challenged.
Tim Johnson, Head of school, is an absolutely amazing human being. He puts his heart and soul into ensuring that Pingree is an inclusive, challenging and positive environment. His faculty love and respect him and the students feel this. Tim is great at attracting, hiring and retaining amazing faculty with diverse views. And, we are impressed with how Tim and team have handled COVID. Full faith in them!

I have two children at Pingree, and they both love it! The academics are very challenging. Right from the start Pingree expects the students to be independent, self motivated, advocates for themselves. As a parent this can be daunting if you are used to supervising your children's school work. It is amazing however, how quickly the kids grow into the independence, and thrive on it. One thing I often hear from parents of Pingree graduates is that the students are extremely well prepared for college. The academic advisors are readily accessible for questions or help.
My two participate in sports at a high level at Pingree. The coaches & teammates have been wonderful. There are leadership opportunities both on and off the field. The house system provides student government leadership spots, and it is also possible to be captain of one of the sports teams. If a student has a passion in a certain area they can even start their own club. Pingree has been a great experience for us so far!

I recently graduated from Pingree and could not imagine having attended any other high school. I can confidently say that I made lifelong friends and formed bonds with teachers that I couldn't have made at any other school. Most teachers genuinely care about your success. I am a freshman in college now and I have found that some of my classes at Pingree were harder than classes here. Pingree prepares you extremely well for college academically. The History and English departments at Pingree are amazing, and the Math department has recently gotten much better with three new additions my senior year that I think have really benefited the school. I would definitely say that the Science department could be improved but I have no actual critiques for it, it's just not outstanding. Go to Pingree for the best 4 years ever!
