I recently graduated from Pingree and could not imagine having attended any other high school. I can confidently say that I made lifelong friends and formed bonds with teachers that I couldn't have made at any other school. Most teachers genuinely care about your success. I am a freshman in college now and I have found that some of my classes at Pingree were harder than classes here. Pingree prepares you extremely well for college academically. The History and English departments at Pingree are amazing, and the Math department has recently gotten much better with three new additions my senior year that I think have really benefited the school. I would definitely say that the Science department could be improved but I have no actual critiques for it, it's just not outstanding. Go to Pingree for the best 4 years ever!

My son arrived at Pingree four years ago with so much excitement and promise. Unfortunately, those feelings were short lived. I'm not even certain where to begin in expressing my level of disappointment with the school. The teachers appear to be more activists rather than teachers and focus their time on indoctrinating the students toward their way of thinking. The administration spends most of its time perpetuating a divisive and toxic culture. Individual thought is discouraged at every turn. The school is hyper focused on politics (far too focused) and their far left leaning ideology. I would encourage any family considering this school for their child to take a deep dive before choosing Pingree.
I graduated from Pingree a few years ago. Pingree's academics were very difficult for me to adjust to initially. Coming from a public middle school, I felt like I was behind many of the other students for my first year. Most of my teachers really cared about their students, and the advisory program helped me feel more comfortable getting to know my teachers. The history department was one of the strengths of the school. However, the math department was slightly lacking. Especially in upper level calculus and statistics classes. The science department also had some ineffective teachers. Like many high schools, the student body was very divided based on activity. While at Pingree, the theatre/ creative arts programs grew tremendously.
